Netflix has released a new trailer for The Witcher: Blood Origin – the streaming service’s new series based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s popular universe.
The video introduces a number of characters whose identity it is still not entirely clear. Most notable of these is probably Hollywood celebrity Michelle Yeoh in the role of Scian – a kind of elven warrior in search of a magical sword.
The trailer seems to offers a lot of action, with cuts and scrapes and blood and gore.
In terms of plot, Blood Origin deals with the events that set off the entire The Witcher saga. The trip goes back 1200 years before Geralt’s time, where we get to take part in the origin story of the very first witcher.
The premiere date is set for December 25, and all four episodes will be available on the same day.
