Sony has reportedly begun making plans for an MMORPG – or online role-playing game – based on the Horizon series. That’s what Korean website MTN reports
Sources close to MTN say that the project is only in the initial phase, but that Sony should have entered into an agreement with Korean NCSoft to develop the game. NCSoft is best known as the publisher of Guild Wars, and has also been responsible for several entries in the classic Lineage series.
NCSoft has reportedly already begun recruiting developers for the project, which goes by the code name Project H. A spokesperson for the company would neither confirm nor deny the rumor.
- It is difficult to confirm information about unpublished projects that are under development.
Sony has not commented on the matter either.
Guerrilla Games – the developer behind the Horizon games – has also previously hinted at multiplayer plans of some kind. Job listings from the studio last year were looking for someone who could explore creative ways for players to collaborate with each other.
