Game Awards 2022: How to Watch, Live Blog and Nominees

It’s that time again, when the best of the best are out to prove who’s the best of them all. The Game Awards are almost upon us, with a who’s who of the top games, world premiere events for what’s next and an overall celebration of the greatest moments in videogames.

How to Watch

The ceremony airs live on December 8, 2022. Check below for the feed or go directly to the Game Awards site. Alternatively, check Twitch and YouTube. Streamers are also permitted to co-broadcast without objection, and in fact a number of top streamers have been given the chance to be official partners for this (though unfortunately these sign-ups closed at the end of November so you’re out of luck if you intended to participate). There are also roughly 40 or so IMAX locations that will also broadcast the ceremony in theater.

Live Blog

We’re also planning for a live blog, which starts December 8 at 7:00pm ET/4:00pm PT/2:00am CET.

Nominees

It wouldn’t be awards season without knowing who’s up for what, so here are the 2022 Game Awards nominees to help you follow along. As a side note, when a winner is announced for a category, we will mark it accordingly.

Correction: The segment with the best sports game went so fast that I initially wrote that OlliOlli World took the award because I had lost track. It was actually Gran Turismo 7 that won the category. Sorry about that!
