Actress Annie Wersching passed away this weekend, aged just 45. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter, among others.
Wersching is best known in the gaming world for his role in the Naughty Dog game The Last of Us. She voiced Tess, Joel’s smuggling partner – played by Troy Baker. The actor also had a number of roles in film and television, including in series such as 24, Marvel’s Runaways and Star Trek: Picard.
The Naughty Dog team took to Twitter to express their deep sorrow over the loss of Wersching. Baker wrote that she would live on through her role as, among other things, Tess, while Nolan North – Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series and David in The Last of Us – provided a short and concise summary of her passing.
