The game is basically a stand alone Prop Hunt / Hide and Seek variant, which means some players are spawning as props and must disguise themselves as furniture (which can still move around), and the other players are hunters who have to find and shoot these “players in disguise”.
But you don’t necessarily stay in one place as a Prop all the time. For example props can press C to make taunting sounds to players nearby them, such as screams or farts. They can also throw a smoke bomb to try and get away if spotted. Hunters can throw bombs to destroy an area of furniture and can “scan” the area around them which gives off a radar-like noise if a player prop is detected. Plus there is a “heat” detection in the top right showing where you are near or far from props.
Although we did notice some bugs, the developer is patching daily and responds quickly to forum posts. The maps are quite varied and some down right beautiful, although the night mode is a bit bright so the torch isn’t really of any use. The controls used to “upright” yourself as a prop if you fall over are a little tricky to master but you’ll get there. Standing upright is key! Fallen over furniture looks suspicious in these perfect worlds.
So to some small negative parts we found. Sometimes being a prop in a very good hiding spot can be down right boring. We would love to see some more penalties of being a prop. Like taunting noises playing automatically when you stay still for too long. And perhaps some rare powerups for the Hunters to let them find you more easily. And some penalty for using the gun. Loosing some health(why would they else have health bars?) The game also suffers from some lagging time to time but nothing truly game breaking.
Overall it’s a fun little game to kill some time, and have a good laugh at, but you must play with friends! This is key.
