Gotcha Wristband Review

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been using the Gotcha Wristband for Pokemon GO. It is essentially a Pokemon GO Plus with its button held down. It comes from the folks at Codejunkies, a group who specialize in the sort of devices that are akin to a modern-day Nintendo Game Genie. Cheaters without cheating, winning games because they’re very good at backwards engineering.

Auto attempt

The device has the same function as the original Pokémon go plus. But instead of alerting you to press the button it does it for you and informs you if it was able to catch the pokemon or if it fled. The little “touch screen” actually has pretty nice clean graphics clearly informing you what happened.

Auto spin disc

The same goes for the PokeStops. When a Pokestop is in range it locks on and spins the disc. All without you having to do a thing but sitting there making greedy gestures with your hands.

The device is simple to set up! Just touch it an it shows up on your phone like the regular Pokemon GO Plus. It even shows on the screen when its successfully connected. It also works like the pogo plus and disconnects every hour.

The price comes in at around 4o USD. BE AWARE there are actually copies of it circulating. THEY ARE BAD!

PRO’s

-Allows auto-attempts at Pokemon capture*
-Allows auto-spins of Pokestops†
-Is actually chargeable and comes with a charger
-Comes with fancy armband for quick access
-It keeps its charge for atleast a week if you turn off the rumble mode.

CON’s

-Proprietary charger (but still USB A)
-Low visibility in direct sunlight(but whatever)
-Not an official Niantic device. Tho it still works.
-Sometimes difficult to connect BUT that also goes for the POGO plus. The plus has even more difficulties than the gotcha.

So! Is it worth the money? Definitely! I have been using it for a couple of months now and it really helps if you live in a rural area like me and PokeStops are rare. It also catches the Pokemon very fast! This is really the device Niantic should have made in the first place. It also doesn’t look as dorky as the original. AND it is much smaller.

BONUS! You can even use it while driving! Connect it leave it and drive around town. You will be shocked of how many Stops it manages to catch! Another awesome feature is that you can turn of catching pokemon so it only focuses on PokeStops, or vice versa.

The Gotcha suprises us by being both cool and usable. We also feel like cheating just a little bit 🙂
