Deer Hunter 2017 Review

Hunting games haven’t always had the best reputation or name in the past of the gaming history hierarchy. Reason being; they usually aren’t very good. If you think of hunting games you might think of those arcade games that you used to play in bars, well that’s all changed. Hunting games are very much the in thing in today’s niches, with massive numbers of games out for both the casual and hardcore markets on a variety of platforms; all the platforms really.

What makes this one unique you might wonder? Well, unfortunately not much. The game is played like most other mobile hunters or shooters. You have your weapon that you can aim and zoom with, which is obviously used to hunt the animals. You cannot move freely in this title with the exception of left/right restricted movement. It feels natural however as the game plays more like a classic experience than a modern one.

There is a big variety of weapons that can be either bought or unlocked with the ingame currency. You can level as a player unlocking new weapons and areas to hunt in. The scope of the game while not massive, feels big enough to supply a generous experience. There is a big selection of animals to hunt and they are all fairly detailed and animated.

The game looks and feels reasonably good. There is allot of detail in the player and weapons and as mentioned also in the hunt-able animals. The worlds that you hunt in are also well made and detailed enough to look good without being breathtaking. All in all the title looks good, but not exceptional per say.

At the end of the day the game is exactly what it seems to be. A hunting title. It is a fun experience and will last a few days, which in today’s market is pretty commendable.
